Chocolate Banana Brownies (paleo!)

Fudgy, soft and rich. Yet light and nutritious? Yes!! This healthy spin on the classic brownie recipe will leave you hitting the sweet spot on your cravings…with zero guilt. Just a few ingredients come together easily in a blender and bake up a batch of chocolate brownies sweetened with only bananas and dates. Free of gluten, grains, dairy, nuts and refined sugars… but full of decadent chocolate flavour!


Chocolate Banana Brownies (paleo!)

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 ripe medium-sized bananas
  • 5-6 medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth – about 1 minute. Pour the batter into an 8×8 square or 9-inch round greased pan (we love to use virgin coconut oil to grease our bake wear, or line them with parchment paper). Bake for 30 minutes (in a convection oven) or until the texture is springy and a tooth pick, when inserted, comes out clean.
